Stronger in 2026 with my Favorite At-Home Gym Finds
In four short months, I’ll be 47 years old. That is bananas to type and yet….it’s also exciting….wanna know why?!?
I feel stronger, more capable, and more energized than I did a decade ago.
This chapter of my life isn’t about chasing smaller jeans, punishing workouts, or burning myself out. It’s about longevity—building strength that supports my bones, my hormones, my metabolism, and my ability to show up fully for the life and people I love…..and those future grandkiddos 😉
One of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to stay consistent? It’s a two parter—-first, the FASTer Way has been an integral part of why I feel stronger, more empowered, and healthier than my thirties. But also Creating an AT-HOME GYM SETUP that removes friction and excuses has been a GAME CHANGER. And not difficult. As I mentioned in my SAUNA POST, we’re kinda outta room in our basement so an easy, seamless fitness setup was KEY…..and trust me, You don’t need a fancy space or a garage full of equipment. You need a few smart, versatile tools—and a plan that actually works.
Today I’m sharing all of my must-have at-home gym equipment from Amazon—the exact pieces I use week after week inside my FASTer Way routine.

Why I Believe So Strongly in At-Home Workouts (Especially in Your 40s)
Life is F U L L. Kids, work, travel, real responsibilities. The best workout isn’t the “perfect” one—it’s the one you’ll actually do consistently.
My at-home setup allows me to:
• Train in 30–35 minutes
• Lift heavy safely
• Strength train without the gym mayhem
• Stay consistent even on busy or low-energy days
• Focus on longevity, not burnout
And remember——Consistency over intensity—every single time.
My Must-Have At-Home Gym Equipment (All Amazon Finds)
1. Dumbbells (Non-Negotiable)
4. Walking Pad
This has been a game-changer for daily movement ESP during our Midwest winters….slap on a WEIGHTED VEST to get extra bang for your buck.
Ps: Walking is one of the most underrated tools for:
• Hormone health
• Stress reduction
• Fat loss support
• Longevity
5. LIFTING GLOVES or Wrist Supports
As weights increase, grip support matters—especially in your 40s…..also my CALLOUSES were starting to form more than I like so gloves to the rescue!
6. CLOTH BANDS (Loop + Long Bands)
Don’t underestimate bands.
I use these for:
• Warm-ups
• Glute activation
• Accessory work
• Travel workouts
• Low-impact strength days
They’re affordable, versatility, and an easy tool to add to your tool belt.
WORKOUT WEDGE . I love this for elevating my heels and targeting those peaches.
Ps: it’s important to note I’ve accumulated these items over the years but I only started with a few sets of dumbbells (5, 8, 10, 15lbs) and bands….thats it…..you truly don’t need much to get started and there’s ALWAYS modifications with the FASTer Way workouts!

You know when I looked at these photos the other day the represented something other than the physical….
These images aren’t about perfection, but rather they represent showing up consistently, even on days I didn’t want to, choosing strength over shrinking, investing in my future self, and training for the long game. You know At 47, I’m not trying to look like I did at 27. I’m building a body that will carry me into my 50s, 60s, and beyond—strong, capable, and resilient.
