All Things Fall

Happy October, Friends! With the temps cooling and leaves changing, Fall is officially here in the Midwest and we wasted no time getting Fall’d up here at the Chappo residence. Today, I’m sharing all things Fall decor as well as costume inspo from Halloween’s past!

As most of you know, these spray painted pumpkins have become a highly requested feature and its no surprise why! This DIY project is completely customizable to your decor and can be easily touched up or changed year after year. All you need are craft pumpkins (I prefer these from Michael’s — great prices and a variety of shapes/sizes), and your favorite spray paint colors. Simply throw on a pair of gloves and lay down a painting tarp or old sheet and give em a few layers of paint! Whether you go for a more traditional halloween array or bright and colorful like mine, these are sure to make your porch fun and festive this season!

Next, I brought my love of colorful acrylic to my Halloween decor with these bats from Kailo Chic. They make the perfect decoration as a table centerpiece or on a mantle. Use code ss&s for free shipping!

We all have those foods that remind us of Fall. Here are a few of my favorites that just give you the warm and fuzzies…making them the perfect items to make for the fam this season! First, my Seersucker Chili that pairs to absolute perfection with Nonnie’s Cornbread. Once you’ve made both, place a pieces of the delectable cornbread in the center of your bowl and load it up. I love to top mine with allllll the goodies: sour cream (I prefer greek yogurt), shredded cheese, avocado, pickled jalapeños — enjoy!

You can find these goodies and SO many more in The Village Cookbook. Presale is now open and the bundle will get you an immediate downloadable PDF so you can get cookin’ ASAP!

While the cornbread is a dessert in and of itself, I couldn’t help but share this fun twist on Nonnie’s classic No-Bake Peanut Butterscotch Protein Cookies. What better way than to make something scream Autumn than by putting a little pumpkin puree in em? This was such a subtle yet delicious on this fan favorite — can’t wait to hear what you think!

Finally, what October roundup would be complete without some costumes from Halloween’s past? Enjoy this trip down memory lane. Hopefully they bring you some inspiration and a smile…I mean, look at baby Calvin…can you even?! Can’t wait to share what we have up our sleeves this year!
