This space has always been a very happy one with tons of natural lighting, windows, and the pitched ceiling but it hasn’t always been F U N C T I O N A L. That is until we spruced it up with some adorable (and affordable) finds from the Walmart Kids Home section.

I knew Calvin needed a table for this space so he could color, build, and moon sand ‘til his heart’s content. And I knew I wanted something modern while still being affordable because well, he’s a rowdy toddler so I’m sure it’ll take a lickin’.....I assembled this table in under an hour and it is just P E R F E C T for this space! I also knew I wanted to update the rug situation (see the BEFORE above) with something bigger and comfier on his little piggies….I ordered THIS RUG in the hopes it would be similar to the designer one I had in our previous home and man did we hit the jackpot...it is SO CUTE, VIBRANT, and a great fit for the space….tons in a variety of colorways too, with a friendly price point! My gal pal convinced me to get this ROCKING HORSE not only because it’s a nod to my love of Lexington, but also, she has two boys who L O V E D this guy….he may or may not sing….but don’t fret, you can turn him off if needed. Artwork that the kids painted and/or drew themselves helps personalize the space, and a fresh set of toys keeps Calvin entertained and engaged….when he first saw this new space he said, “Oh wowwwwww!’ Couldn’t have asked for a cuter reveal! Some of his current faves are these TILES, DUPLOS, CARS which are displayed on these ACRYLIC SHELVES from Walmart. And while I know this space will grow and transition as he does, I love that we updated it with a friendly budget in mind and the end result is the sweetest and happiest little space for my sweet and happy little boy.
